The MIAA playoffs are fast approaching, and lacrosse teams across Central Massachusetts are feeling the pressure to pick up those last few wins before districts begin.
Of course, some teams already know they'll be participating in the postseason, but many CMass squads sit on the tournament bubble. As a quick reminder, to qualify for the state lacrosse tournament, teams must play a minimum of 10 MIAA opponents (or similar quality opponents from other states), and finish with a .500 record.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the Central Mass tournament is no more. No longer will every team in Central Massachusetts be thrown into a single bracket in Division 2. Now, CMass teams are dispersed across four brackets, those being the Central/West brackets of Divisions 2 and 3, and the Central/East brackets of Divisions 2 and 3.
Seeding for the tournament is far more complex, and we'll get to all that later. But, for now, here are all the teams that are in, and all the teams that still have some work to do. Some of them could qualify or be eliminated by the time today's games are finished.
