Lobel's Question of the Week: The Olympics in Boston?
Every week, legendary sportscaster Bob Lobel wants to hear your opinion on something that caught his eye over the weekend.
Boston is always Strong, but now we're faced with a choice that could end up being Boston Smart or Boston Stupid: Should our fine city host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games?
Boston was chosen as America's representative to pitch to the Olympic Committee, and many out there think it has a good shot to win the bid.
But, do you want to see the Games in the Hub?
Many argue they will help Boston's tourism industry, which may be precisely the reason others don't want the Games here. They could be a source of civic pride, or another citizen funded, multi-year construction job (remember the Big Dig, anyone?) They could be Boston's biggest party ever, or Boston's biggest traffic jam (and that's saying something).
Obviously, there are pros and cons, but I want to know what you think.
