Hingham comes into the D2 South tournament as a favorite after weathering a brutal schedule. |

A quick reminder that this bracket is not official until tomorrow, just in case there's been a formulation error. That said, here are a couple quick thoughts from Division 2 South.
Hingham the Favorites
Hingham is the obvious favorite in this bracket, and maybe overall in D2 in the state.
Led by an offense that includes Marc O’Rourke, Jake Quilty, and Jack Hennessey, the Harbormen (19-3) have rolled over almost all their opponents this season, certainly in Division 2. The Harbormen have only fallen to one out of state opponent, and then D1 powers Lincoln-Sudbury and Duxbury. Hingham was in the D2 final last season, where the Harbormen fell to Medfield, who won its third straight title.
In a year where the Warriors look a bit more vulnerable, and the rest of D2 is wide open, it might be Hingham’s turn to shine across the division.
Has Falmouth done enough?
Finishing its season with a loss to Winchester, there have to be some questions as to whether the Clippers have been challenged enough. Splitting with Marshfield is the Clippers' best achievement, and the other top teams they faced, Winchester and Franklin to bookend the regular season, is a concern.
The offense hasn’t been held to under ten goals all season, so we know the Clippers can score. Having a bye week as well will help Falmouth rest up, and it should be a collision course with Hingham, in a perfect world. But, have the Clippers been tested enough to know how they’ll fare against top opponents?
